One of the reasons is the time it takes to analyze the mountains of data generated by clinical trials about the efficacy and safety of the product. Read more. Featured in FORBES magazine: The Role Of Consortia And Standards In The Industrial Sector by Christine Boles Vice President Network and Edge Group, General Manager Federal & Industrial Solutions at Intel Corporation. Over the past decades, consortia and standards have become an important component in many industries’ operating models. This is a result of hundreds of organizations working together for many years to find a better way to collaborate. They found that consortia and standards participation facilitated the development of open, vendor-neutral technology standards and certifications to streamline operations while enabling the flexibility of adding new technology as it became available. MIPI CSI-2 Security Forum Available On Demand The co-chairs of the MIPI Security Working Group recently hosted a CSI-2 Security Forum to provide an in-depth look at the unique approach MIPI is undertaking to protect automotive data streams between MIPI CSI-2®-based sensors and their related ECUs from the perspectives of authentication, integrity and confidentiality. If you would like to learn more about the MIPI Security Framework and the forthcoming specifications that will enable security in CSI-2 data streams, both the presentation (PDF) and event recording are available on demand. MIPI Specifications Showcased at embedded world Conference This week at the embedded world Exhibition & Conference in Nuremberg, Germany, MIPI specifications were the focus of nine presentations, including two “Board Level Hardware Engineering” education tracks. The first MIPI track included sessions on the MIPI I3C® utility and control bus interface, and the other track featured sessions on MIPI A-PHY® and the MIPI Automotive SerDes Solutions (MASS℠) framework. Additional sessions covered MIPI CSI-2®, display specifications and various design considerations around MIPI interfaces. New MIPI Specification: DisCo for Imaging Adopted in late 2022, MIPI Discovery and Configuration (DisCo℠) for Imaging v1.0 provides a common mechanism to allow system developers to easily discover and use cameras and other devices that are connected via MIPI CSI-2®, the high-speed protocol for transmission of still and video images from image sensors to application processors. The specification is designed to support components connected via current, former and future versions of CSI-2. MIPI Members Honored for Outstanding Contributions At the 10th annual MIPI Alliance Membership Awards Ceremony, held in conjunction with the recent MIPI Member Meeting in Lisbon, 10 recipients in six categories were recognized for their contributions and leadership to the Alliance:
Zhaga Smart City Sensor AwardsThe Zhaga Consortium is launching the global Zhaga Smart City Sensor Awards to address the
needs of many cities that have installed Zhaga-D4i certified streetlights. The awards encourage and recognize excellence in smart city sensors that can be installed on streetlights using the Zhaga Book 18 standard and are suitable for Zhaga-D4i certification.
