MARINE BUSINESS NEWS UPDATE

NEWS UPDATE

9 December 2022

Publishers note

Plenty of news from around the country this week, with the Queensland Government launching a $21 million grants program to stimulate investment in maritime businesses, skills and jobs. In the south, the BIA is reporting that current houseboat regulations in Lake Eildon may be extended by a further 12 months. In the west, dredging to start next month at Jurien Bay Boat Harbour to help improve the water quality.

In boating news, Zodiac Inflatables are now available in Australia through the exclusive distributor, Sirocco Marine, who have expanded their showrooms and imported hundreds of the latest models in time for summer, and Maritimo have released their “Milestones, Memorable Moments and Migrations.”

And in keeping with tradition, the 2022 Sydney Superyacht Captains’ Long Lunch has been hailed a brilliant, and much needed gathering for skippers and select superyacht industry proponents “sharing wisdom, wit and the explorer spirit.”
