Today’s ‘Yesterday’s Australia’ segment is brought to you by the wonderful @Suemac. ‘My memories of growing up out of town in the 1960s were many! We enjoyed walks in the bush, picking wildflowers, mushrooming in Autumn, blackberrying in Summer and watching out for snakes! Catching tadpoles in the dam, hoping we'd see them turn into frogs! Lots of things other children never got to do!’
Wow, @Suemac! It sounds like your childhood was jam-packed. I, too, used to love blackberrying in summer. I used to pick and eat so many and come home with stained clothes! I also have fond memories of taking my dad to the tree and picking as many berries as we could so we could make a pie! It was delicious.
