Friday Edition
Good morning members, and a big warm welcome to another fantastic Friday! Can you believe we’ve already reached the end of another week? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun – and we certainly had some fun this week, didn’t we? Oh, and it's the end of the month too! Wow, March sure has flown by! Now, as the weekend approaches, I can’t help but wonder what exciting adventures are in store for all of us. I'm thinking of relaxing at home with a good book and a cuppa. My body needs a break after all the island hopping I did last week…
But enough about me, let's get into today's newsletter, shall we? As always, we've got plenty of interesting things lined up for you!
To start, we have the third and final riddle of the week...
Five apples are in a basket. How do you divide them among five girls so that each girl gets an apple, but one apple remains in the basket?
Ha! I bet you didn't see that one coming, did you? This is a good one, so make sure you have a good, long think about it before submitting your answer! You know the drill, folks: If you think you've cracked the code, head over to the riddle masters thread here. And, as you're well aware by now, if you get the answer correct, you'll earn yourself a shout-out in tomorrow's newsletter! How generous of us, eh? 😉
By the way, before we get to the stories, we have an exciting announcement to make... SDC Bingo is ready to go! Check it out here - if you want to play you'll need to create a (free) website account if you don't have one already. Also check out Jonathan's instructions here. Today's bingo numbers are B10, B1, and B7!

Before we head into today’s games ladies and gents, I just want to pop in a friendly reminder to compare your health insurance*. Why? Because health insurance premiums will be increasing by a staggering 2.90% tomorrow. This means that a lot of you could be paying on average anywhere between $167 and $194 extra per year on your health insurance*. We know this isn't money you have 'lying around'. So to see how much you can save before April 1, why not try comparing your health insurance?* If you don't save any money,
don't change insurers! But what happens if you could save hundreds? Compare and save today*.
And while you’re here, why not try our wonderful games, such as Alphabetical Bands/Groups Game, Alphabetical Australian Places Game, Change A Letter Game, and 3x3 Word Thread? Of course, we still have our beloved classic games, including Word Pairs, Abbreviation Game, Word
Association Game, Rearrange, Add or Subtract Word Game! Keep a Word, Drop a Word Game, and Can you name 5? As well as our Sudoku puzzles, OzGrid, classic OzWord, and Ozword (expert edition). And our card games, including Solitaire and Blackjack.
Lastly, don't forget to enter our referral competition! All you have to do is refer your friends to the SDC (with their permission, of course) for one entry into the competition. The more entries you get into the competition, the more chances you have to win a $100 voucher to Coles, Woolworths, ALDI or IGA! To refer a friend to us, all you have to do is email us their name and email address here! You can also email us at contact@seniorsdiscountclub.com.au. Note: If you email us their name and email address without their permission, your entry to the competition will be removed.
As always, members, stay safe and happy reading!
