Wednesday Edition
A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! Good morning and welcome to Wednesday, members. How is everyone doing today? (I (Vella) hope you’re all doing well and having a great start to the day (and the month). Can you believe it’s March already? Where did the time go? Well, today is the start of a brand new month and the perfect time to set some goals. So, what goals are you thinking of working on this month? Let us know in our forum here. We'd love to hear what you have planned.
If you’re like me, you’re probably already thinking about getting your groceries for the month. So, to help you along, we’ve found some great deals for you at Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and IGA. Make sure to check them out and save a few bucks.
Now, for some mental exercise. It’s time for our second riddle of the week!
A word I know, six letters it contains. Subtract just one and twelve is what remains. What is the word?
This one is a bit of a toughie but we know you lot can do it! If you think you know the answer, head on over to our riddle masters thread here and post it in the comments section. If you get the answer correct, you'll get a shout-out in tomorrow's newsletter! So get those thinking caps on!

Who here remembers their mother and the sound of the Singer sewing machine? The rhythmic whirring of the treadle as it churned out stitch after stitch — a familiar sound that has filled many Aussie homes throughout the years. Do you still have one of these? Or maybe you have revamped it at home so it’s a side, coffee or hall table now?

Got Health insurance? Your Premiums Are Going Up Yet Again*
A health insurance rate rise of 2.90% is what Aussies are being slapped with during a cost-of-living crisis. We’ve seen mortgage rates increase, grocery prices spike, petrol prices peak, and now our health insurance premiums will be increasing by an average of 2.90%.
From 1 April 2023, Australians over the age of 65 could be paying up to $167* more per year for their health insurance and that’s just for those of you who are not with one of the ‘Big Five’ health insurers - think BUPA, Medibank, HCF, nib and HBF - if you are with one of the ‘Big Five’ you could be paying up to $194* per year for the exact same cover you currently have.

My darling husband, before you return from your business trip,
I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the van when I turned into the driveway.
Fortunately, it’s not too bad, and I really didn’t get hurt, so please don’t worry too much about me.
