Saturday Edition
Well hello there members! And a very good morning to you. There’s nothing quite like waking up on Easter Saturday now is there? You just know you’re in for a weekend full of Hot Cross Buns and chocolate and we honestly couldn’t think of anything better. So, grab that cuppa and a Hot Cross Bun for breakfast and let’s get right into it, shall we?
First things first, we have the answer to yesterday's riddle. For those of you who don't remember, the riddle goes:
Glittering points, that downward thrust, sparkling spears, that never rust. What am I?
The answer? Icicles! That was a good one eh? We would have never of guessed the answer, so luckily member @Rest1953 gave it to us 😉 Congratulations to all of you who got the answer correct! As you know we won't have our Riddle Masters shoutout in today's newsletter, but we will make up for it next week. We promise!
Now, even Easter Saturday is still a Saturday here at the SDC so we have your ‘classic’ Saturday line up for you, including this week’s Aldi Special Buys. There’s a few goodies in here and we have heard through the grapevine that there is still plenty of Easter stock around so be sure to check everything they have on offer this weekend right here.
Next, we have our ‘What would the grandkids say?’ segment! We are particularly excited about today’s ‘term’ because we know that a lot of you who are lucky enough to have grandkids might be seeing them this weekend, so you can definitely try this one out on them and we want to hear how it goes! Today’s term is ‘lit’. Now, we have featured this term in a newsletter before, but it was almost a year ago now so we wanted to do a refresher, also because Easter is ‘lit’ and you’ll be able to use it with
the grandkids this weekend. ‘Lit’ is the younger generation's way of saying ‘good’, ‘great’, or ‘fantastic’. You can use it in a sentence like ‘that Easter egg hunt was lit!’ or ‘Isn’t Easter lit this year?’ We can guarantee you the grandkids will have a good laugh at you using this one. And that’s what this segment is all about eh?
Now, what’s happening across Australia and around the world today?

We hope you stick around for today’s trivia and our (grand)dad joke of the day, because we think it’s a great idea if you say the joke to your family or friends this weekend, eh? You don’t even have to tell them it wasn’t yours 😉 But if you have to get going because you’ve got a busy few days ahead then we understand. Have a lovely Easter Saturday and we’ll be back in your inbox tomorrow!
