New Year, Fresh Starts & New Possibilities

A new year brings with it a sense of hope — a chance to pause, reflect, and imagine what’s possible. For families, caregivers, and those considering fostering or adoption, this season is an opportunity to look ahead with intention and purpose.

As you step into the year ahead, we invite you to reflect:

  • What are your parenting and/or fostering goals this year?

  • What kind of future do you want to help create for a child?

  • What small steps could move you closer to that vision?

Fresh starts don’t require having all the answers. They begin with openness — a willingness to learn, to grow, and to take one meaningful step forward.

This year, we encourage you to envision your intentions. Whether it’s creating a more stable home, strengthening family connections, or exploring the possibility of fostering or adoption, your hopes matter. When we set our intentions with care and compassion, we begin to manifest change — not just for ourselves, but for the children and families who need it most.

If fostering or adoption is part of your vision for the new year, you don’t have to navigate it alone. We’re here to help guide the way. Our team provides education, support, and encouragement at every stage of the foster and adopt process — from curiosity to commitment and beyond.

New beginnings are possible. Together, we can help build a future rooted in safety, love, and belonging.

Kellyn's Story

After losing her home in the Eaton Fire, Kellyn Koepplinger’s journey as a single foster mom could have ended. Instead, it grew stronger. With support from her mother and the All For Kids community, Kellyn continues to open her heart and home to children in need—rebuilding not just a house, but a future rooted in love.

A year after the Eaton Fire, I am living in a temporary rental home in Pasadena, eagerly awaiting the next child to join my family, whether temporarily or permanently. I am excited to rebuild my life and share this beautiful journey with more children.

A new year represents fresh starts and new possibilities. For children in foster care and families on the journey to permanency, new beginnings are powerful — and possible because of the people who step forward with open hearts. It is equally as important to look back on our last fiscal year to reflect on and evaluate the impact All For Kids made. Below are just a few highlights from our Foster Care and Adoption Program, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our staff.

We are deeply grateful for our foster parents, adoptive families, staff, and community partners who make new beginnings possible every day.

Help Keep Siblings Together: Become a Resource Parent

Every day, children enter foster care in need of safe, stable homes—and the need is especially urgent for sibling sets. In Los Angeles County alone, there are over 25,000 children in foster care, with more than 200 waiting to be adopted. Many are part of sibling groups, and unfortunately, All For Kids must turn away at least 10 sibling sets each week simply because there aren’t enough families to keep them together.

At All For Kids, we believe strong families and caring adults create a world where every child is safe to grow. We welcome individuals and families from all backgrounds to consider opening their hearts and homes. We provide training, guidance, and continued support—you won’t be doing it alone.

Have questions or ready to get started? Call us at 800.730.3933 or below to fill out a quick inquiry form.
