Sunday Edition
Goooood Morning Members! And a very happy Sunday to you all. We hope you're taking this morning nice and easy, maybe you even got to sneak in a little sleep in. But now we are all awake, get your cuppa ready, and a nice breakfast and let's get stuck into the final newsletter of the week! As most of you know, our Sunday newsletter always kicks off with our quote of the week. This week's quote is...
"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it."
Ah, how we love this quote! It’s such an important quote to remember because it is so easy to find ourselves getting bogged down in the negative and forgetting about all of the good in our lives. But if we can remember that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it, we can change our perspective and focus on what we do have. A good example of this one is I (Maddie) have been struggling to keep my grocery bills down, as I know everyone here has been! A lot of the things I used to make either I can’t make because the produce isn’t available, or I can’t make as much because it’s more expensive than what it used to be. I was a bit frustrated by it all, when I realised this meant that I could get really creative in the kitchen. My partner and I have been making completely new dishes that are delicious! We’ve been making a lot more homemade things like bread, pizza bases,
aioli, (weird, but we couldn’t find it anywhere!) and a lot of muffins rather than wasting any produce that’s going off and it’s been so nice getting a bit creative. It seems so small, but changing my perspective from frustrated to creative has been a nice little blessing, so I encourage you, in any way, shape, or form to challenge your automatic reaction to the things happening in your life, you never know, you might even end up enjoying it…
