On Sunday, September 21, 2025—just before Rosh Hashanah and during Climate Week NYC—over 1,000 volunteers across NYC, Westchester, and Long Island will come together for a joyful day of hands-on service to restore parks, beaches, and open spaces. Individuals, families, and groups are all welcome! Also in this newsletter: Adamah NY is growing! Get to know our 4 new team members and get inspired as I am! We’re planning an amazing fall & winter season full of climate action, environmental education, holiday events, volunteering programs and so much more! In the past month, the U.S. climate movement has faced significant setbacks, including federal rollbacks that threaten clean energy progress and government defunding of crucial climate and scientific agencies. Corporate investment in climate action is also declining, making local and grassroots efforts more essential than ever. Adamah NY is proud to be part of this movement, and respond to the current situation with the full power of the Jewish spirit. Part of our response is ROOTED, that will kick off Climate Week NYC and Sun Day, anchoring a week of reflection, action, and environmental justice and filling it with joy and community. To continue this momentum, we need your support, please consider supporting Adamah NY. With gratitude, Welcome the New Adamah NY Team Members!![]() [From left to right: Hannah, Eliana, Amber and Daniel] Daniel Dray is the new Climate Action Coordinator, he joins Adamah NY with a background in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from Ben-Gurion University where he focused on sustainable business strategy.
