Good morning, dear members! As always, it is an absolute delight to be spending my (Maddie’s) Sunday morning with you all! It’s been one of those weeks where I feel like I’m keeping my head just above the water! But I know all of you will be able to relate to that feeling all too well. So, instead of dwelling on it, let’s take a look at this week’s quote, because this one really struck a chord with me.

‘For each headache you face, ask yourself, “Is this mostly real or mostly imagined?” Solve the real problems, release the imaginary ones.’

Powerful, isn’t it? What problems do you have that are real and can be solved? It made me realise that many things I dwell on haven’t even happened or aren’t even my problem to deal with! You’re always going to have problems, just make sure you’re solving the real ones and not dwelling on the imaginary ones like I do sometimes!

Now, before I dive into our wrap of the week that was, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for being here. Our community has grown significantly in 2023, and we are forever grateful to every member of the Seniors Discount Club. However, I just want to give a special shout-out to our incredible SDC Rewards Members. Member @Oaklegs posted about the Perth Museum’s new exhibition about crossing the Nullarbor on a bicycle and all the attempts that have been made to break the record! Since this post, I haven’t been able to stop researching the various crossings of the Nullarbor Plain on a bike. Arthur Charles Jeston Richardson became the first cyclist to cross the Nullarbor Plain back in 1896! Have you ever crossed the Nullarbor Plain in a car, caravan, or maybe even a bike yourself?
