Saturday Edition
Good morning and welcome to another Saturday! Whew, what a week it’s been! We’re sure you’re ready for a weekend of relaxation. I am! I don’t know about you, but I’m going to take full advantage of today and do absolutely nothing! All plans of going outside have been cancelled. It’s going to be a day of Netflix, snacks, and my comfy bed. And I am not one bit ashamed of it! How about you? What are your plans for today?
Oh, by the way, I had the most delicious breakfast this morning! My partner made fried rice with bacon, eggs, carrots, and peas. It's not the healthiest breakfast, but it sure was tasty! Plus, it's very easy to make, so if you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast option, I highly recommend it! What was your breakfast this morning? I hope it was just as delicious as mine! If you have any recipes you want to share, feel free to share them on our forum here. Let's help each other out and make some tasty meals!
Anyway, enough about me and my penchant for food. Let's move on to the answer to yesterday's riddle, shall we? What was it again?
How high would you have to count before you would use the letter A in the English language spelling of a whole number?
So the official answer is 1,000 (one thousand) because the letter A doesn't appear in any number from 0 to 999. Unless you read 101 as a-hundred-and-one, we accepted this answer too! Did you get the answer correct? If you did, make sure to give yourself a pat on the back because that was a tricky one! Of course, we wouldn't forget your well-deserved shout-out, which you'll find further down this newsletter.
Let's move on to our next segment, 'What Would the Grandkids Say?' Today, we're looking at the term 'finna'. This term is a shortened version of the phrase 'fixing to', meaning that you are preparing to do something. For example, you might say, 'I'm finna go to the store,' which means, 'I'm fixing to go to the store'. So next time your grandkids say this term, you'll know what they mean!
