In today's workplace, it is becoming increasingly important to recognize and address the consequences of employees dealing with mental health or addiction issues. Instead of having a zero-tolerance policy on cannabis use, employers may want to consider “minimum wait periods before a work shift when cannabis consumption is not allowed,” researchers say. A congressman wants to change a law he says limits federal hiring by automatically disqualifying potential candidates because they were honest on hiring forms about using cannabis.
