Sick of hearing from us every day? Click here to get the Sunday only send.
Good morning, members, and welcome to another fantastic Wednesday! I (Vella) hope this newsletter finds you well after yesterday’s ANZAC Day commemorations. How did you spend your day? Did you rise early for the dawn service, or did you take a quieter, more personal observance at home? Maybe you baked some ANZAC biscuits, knitted poppies, or made a wreath to honour our brave servicemen and women. Whatever your ANZAC Day looked like, we hope it brought you a sense of connection and pride to the Australian Spirit.
Now, it’s Wednesday and you know what that means? Let’s take a look at some deals at your local supermarkets! We’ve got half-priced deals from Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, and IGA. There are some great offers in there this week, so make sure to check them out!
And, of course, it’s time for our second riddle of the week!
I'm clean when I'm black, dirty when white; get too close, and you might sneeze. What am I?
This one’s a bit poetic, don’t you think? So ponder on it for a moment, and if you think you’ve got the answer, head over to our riddle masters thread here. If you guess the answer correctly, you’ll receive a shout-out in tomorrow morning’s newsletter. Good luck, and happy riddling!

Remember the days when staying connected with loved ones across the world meant putting pen to paper and mailing it off with a postage stamp? Before email, the internet, and social media, there was the trusty aerogramme. This lightweight, thin sheet of paper was the ultimate solution for anyone looking to stay in touch without breaking the bank. Who remembers the excitement of receiving an aerogramme from their pen-pal, with its unique design and distinct fold? The Aussie version was a solid blue colour and folded slightly differently to others. Who here has a box full of letters from their pen pals or from family members?

Easter holiday
Wow, just looking at this photo shared by member @Carolineann makes me want to jump on a plane and head straight to Evans Head! This picturesque little inlet is the perfect spot to soak up the sun and take a refreshing dip in the cool, clear water. I can almost hear the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. According to member @Carolineann, this little inlet from the sea into the river is
‘where all the boats go out fishing then come back in, and the kids love swimming in this area as it’s safe. I had to get a picture of the rocks looking out to sea. Such a gorgeous part of Australia.’ It is gorgeous indeed! Thank you, member @Carolineanne, for sharing this stunning photo with us. If you have a photograph you would like to have featured in our newsletter then don’t be shy! Post it on our photography forum here.
