May/June 2024 ![]() Farm Immersion ProgramThe Elementary children recently spent three-days and two-nights at Live Earth Farm in the Santa Cruz mountains. They learned about the land and farmers; gained a better understanding of the source of food, and their role in the local and global food system. The children were shown what it takes to bring fresh produce to market. They sowed seeds; planted crops; cultivated fields and garden beds; harvested their own lunch; and tended farm animals. They were also able to build a deeper bond with their classmates. ![]() Teacher Appreciation WeekTeacher Appreciation Week is a special time to say 'thank you’ to the extraordinary educators who work tirelessly with children and families throughout the year.
