Sunday Edition
Good morning ladies and gents! How are you all doing on this wonderful Sunday morning? I don’t know if it’s just me, but it feels a little bit different waking up on a Sunday in spring compared to winter. It’s much more exciting and a little brighter, or maybe that's just because today is Father's Day and we all get the chance to celebrate the many wonderful dad's we all have the pleasure of knowing and loving! Speaking of, we want to give a big shout out to Jon's incredible Dad, Michael, who you all know as our resident Doctor, Dr. Michael Gliksman! Thank you for all that you have done, and continue to do (and for writing all those articles for us 😉). To all of our members who are dads and now granddads, we hope you have an incredible day and are spoilt by the people around you ❤️ Without each and everyone of you, your kids, grandkids, and great grandkids wouldn't be the people they
are today! Thank you for all that you do in our lives.
Now, let's take a look at this week's quote of the week, shall we?
‘Just because it’s taking time doesn’t mean it’s not happening.’
I tell you what folks, I always use this app called ‘Pinterest’ to find our quote of the week and my oh my, sometimes it just knows exactly what I need to hear (or read). I don’t know about you lot, but I’m someone who thinks or dreams of something and wants it to happen immediately. It’s not that I’m not patient, it’s just that when I feel inspired I want that inspiration to lead to a specific outcome. Take this wonderful community we’ve built. Jon and I (Maddie) started this back in May 2021. When we first started sending our newsletter, we didn’t even have our own website (shocking, I know). I think for the first few months we only had a couple of hundred members. Fast forward to September 2022 and we have almost 200,000 members. I had no idea how big this would become, and neither did Jon. But you know what? Just because it took time (and a lot of late nights 😉) doesn’t mean it
wouldn’t happen. We are over the moon with how far this wonderful community has come. We adore our members and the many members of our Seniors Discount Club team and if we didn’t wait patiently, we wouldn’t be here today.
So remember folks, just because something is taking time, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Take a deep breath, be patient, and keep on, keeping on.
