Kia ora,

Our thoughts are with everyone dealing with flood impacts from the weekend just been. Now we're in February, here's hoping the lack of sunshine hours seen in January can be a thing of the past, and we can all get outside to enjoy some summer sun.

If the weather permits, this month there's lots in store. There will be two Silo Park cinema sessions, one on 10 February to celebrate pride month with a screening of  Everything, Everywhere All At Once, and the other on 17 February (rescheduled from 13 January) to screen the blockbuster Thor: Love and Thunder.

There are lots of other activities planned to take place across your waterfront this month too, which you can read all about below.

Ngā mihi

The Your Waterfront Team

iSpy Silo Park

A humorous hunt of real-life “Where’s Wally”, iSpy Silo Park is a new interactive, self-guided experience for all ages.

An iteration of the popular Wynyard Quarter Scavenger Hunt from last summer, it has been reinvented as a new interactive activity that uses the much-loved childhood game of iSpy and transforms it into a larger, site-specific challenge.

iSpy Silo Park will have multiple levels to partake in (ranging from kid-friendly to adult focussed) and will take you on a journey to different locations around the waterfront, utilising a mixture of real-life landmarks and pop-up playful elements.

Head down to Silo Park over the month of February to take part... also did we mention, there are prizes to be won!

Find out more about what's planned by heading to the Silo Park website below.

Meet the Māori Wardens

Compassionate connectors, the Māori Wardens provide a purpose-driven piece in modern society’s complex jigsaw.

Auckland’s waterfront is one such place where their presence is felt, as they offer a link between people in need and the services on hand to help support them.

Eke Panuku entered into a partnership with the organisation in July 2022, and since then the Māori Wardens have been integral in helping make sure the waterfront is a safe and welcoming place to be for all.

For those who spend time across the waterfront in the weekend evenings, you may have come across the team while they're on patrol. Be sure to say hello if you do.

If you're interested to learn more about the important mahi of the Māori Wardens, read on by clicking below.
