Harper's Books, 504 West 22nd Street, New York Harper’s is delighted to announce the opening of a new rare bookshop, Harper’s Books, at 504 West 22nd Street. Please join us today, Thursday, October 13, 6–9pm, for a soft launch of the new space.Founder Harper Levine said: “opening a bookstore in New York, my hometown, has been a lifelong dream of mine. I can’t wait to see how the new shop interacts with our existing galleries on the same block. My career has been built around the relationship between books and art, so this next venture is the culmination of over 25 years exploring these goals.”Harper’s Books will feature Levine’s trademark mix of rare and cool books on the visual and literary arts. The shop will also display a wide range of framed printed material, from ephemera to special projects conceived by the gallery’s artists.Says Levine: “in the early years when I roamed the world looking for material, I could have never predicted where those journeys would lead. This new chapter on 22nd Street is the most exciting journey yet.”In addition, Harper’s is pleased to participate in Printed Matter's New York Art Book Fair, which returns in-person after a two-year hiatus. The fair, which also opens today, Thursday, October 13, 6–9pm, returns to its original location in the former Dia building at 548 West 22nd Street. We look forward to welcoming visitors at the fair, our new bookshop, and our two galleries—all on the same block! In celebration of the New York Art Book Fair, our Chelsea galleries will be open this Sunday, October 16, 12–5pm.Printed Matter's New York Art Book Fair |
