As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we would like to share an update on the works happening in and around St Aubins Square.
While the road closure remains in effect, you may notice limited visual work happening on site for the next month. This is due to the following essential activities that are being carried out behind the scenes:
Road Occupancy Licence Application: Our Contractor has submitted a detailed application to Transport for NSW, outlining the proposed traffic management arrangements for the works. Approval of this Road Occupancy Licence is required before we can commence work on Kelly Street.
Service Location using Non-Destructive Digging: We are currently confirming the location of underground assets to ensure they are not damaged during the works.
Condition Assessments of Adjacent Properties: As a safeguard in the unlikely event that property damage
occurs during construction, we are conducting condition assessments of properties adjacent to the works. This process provides a photographic and video record of each property's condition before the work commences.
In addition to these activities, we are also focusing on other essential tasks, including:
- Establishment of Contractor's facilities
- Material testing and waste classification for management of excavated
material
- Commencement of water main replacement works in St Aubins Street
We understand that these activities may not be as visible to passers-by, but they are crucial to the project's success and help ensure the safety and efficiency of the construction process.
We will continue to provide updates on the project's progress. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your ongoing
support.
