As a Career Choices Gold Medal recipient, Wheatland Union High School's implementation of the Get Focused…Stay Focused!® program, dubbed Pirate Focus, is helping students answer the important questions: Who am I? What do I want? How do I get it?
“One of [teens’] biggest speed bumps is not knowing what they don’t know. I get to help them be resourceful,” says Carol Keiser, director of career and technical education (CTE) and college readiness. “I get to help kids find their way into high school and figure out what skills they want to start developing.”
Keiser will feature as the institute leader for this week’s Featured Conference Institute: TIPS for Experienced Career Choices Series Instructors. She will discuss technology integration and best practices.
