West Africa: Pray the “G” People Understand the Gospel
Aaron and Amy, along with co-workers Guy, Keyla and Bible translator Lesley, minister among the “G” people of West Africa. Recently, Aaron and Guy finished teaching through the Old Testament and began teaching the New Testament. “When we explained that God considers hatred and looking lustfully at a woman to be equivalent to murder and adultery, one man was commenting out loud, ‘We are in trouble.’ … The following week, we then taught that the only way to be accepted by God is to be born again. The ‘G’ think that they are able to appease God and that He will accept them if they ‘beg Him,’ because they are better than others.” Pray that the “G” will recognize their sinfulness and helplessness to save themselves. “Please pray that the message of the gospel will be understood and believed and that lives will be changed.”
