Thursday Edition
Good morning members! How are we all doing today? We hope you’re all as excited as we are because we have an absolutely jam-packed (pardon the pun, you’ll understand this shortly) lineup for you today! So make yourselves comfortable, grab a cuppa, and enjoy!
First things first, it’s time to give you all the answer to yesterday’s tricky riddle. For those of you who don’t remember, the riddle goes:
How can you take two from five and leave four?
Did you get it? The answer is simple: take away the two letters from ‘five’ (F and E), and you’re left with (IV), which is four in Roman numerals! That was a bit of a trick question, but a few of you managed to get it correct, nonetheless. If you got this one correct, give yourself a pat on the back and stick around, you’ll find a shoutout waiting for you at the end of the newsletter.
Next up, as we do every Thursday, it’s time for our Fascinating Fact of the week!
Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci was ambidextrous? This means he could write, draw and paint with both hands. In fact, he wrote most of his notes backwards in mirror writing so that they could only be read using a mirror. He did this by using his left hand to write the inscription in ‘mirror writing’ on the front, while he used his right hand to pen the inscription on the back in ordinary writing. It was believed that the Renaissance genius did this because he didn’t want others to understand his notes and steal his ideas. How fascinating is that?
Now let’s dive into the news, what’s happening in Australia and around the world today?
