Monday Edition
Good morning, members! How are you feeling this morning? Maybe you had a nice, quiet Christmas with loved ones, or maybe you had a crazy one with the family and are feeling a little worse for wear this morning, or maybe you didn’t celebrate Christmas at all yesterday! Whatever it is, we are here to keep you company this Boxing Day.
Now, I don’t know about you but I love Boxing Day. My partner, Hugh, is obsessed with cricket, so he gets the Boxing Day Test up as soon as it starts and pretty much watches it every day until it ends. Me on the other hand? I’ll watch it here and there, of course (you have to support your partner at all times, eh?), but I much prefer grabbing a good book, heading outside for some sun or laying in bed and just relaxing. This time of the year is my favourite. I lose touch with what day it is, what time it is, and what I should be doing. I completely disconnect from technology and just spend time with my family and some friends. I always make sure I have a Christmas holiday book collection and just read as much as I can. If you have any book recommendations you’d like to send through, please post them on our forum here! I’ll try and share with all of you the books I read over the holidays too.
Now, I know what you’re thinking… It’s a Monday so shouldn’t there be a riddle?! Well, the issue is Jon and I have actually given the whole team time off for the holidays. Our team grew so much this year, from just Jon, Vella, Sean, James, Sethia, and I last year, to now also having April, Ally, Jarred and our incredible behind the scene team like Muhammad, Afiful, Rico and Teguh. Our team works so hard not only to deliver our newsletter to you every day but also to make sure our website looks pretty and works fast all year long, that honestly, they all truly deserved a break! So, we won’t be running riddles or our daily deals again until the first week of January when we have a few more hands on deck. The reason behind us not running our ‘daily deals’
segment is because we couldn’t guarantee the deals we provide over this Christmas period would be available with store closures, shorter store hours, Boxing Day sales and stock shortages! But we encourage you to check with your favourite stores today what Boxing Day sales they are offering.
We hope you can understand these minor changes while Jon and I take care of everything over the next few days. So, without further ado, let’s get stuck into the news.
