NEWS UPDATE28 March 2025 Publishers noteI am a true believer in supporting industry association programs—but only the ones that work. In my current role, I have had the pleasure of attending several AIMEX and MIA events, and as you may know from my past comments, they have impressed me with their quality and benefits to the industry. ASMEX 2025 is approaching, and registrations are open for both the conference and dinner. My advice: log in and register, even if you think your business is on the fringe of that sector—it is still worth attending. Not just for the insights you gain from the speakers, but also for the valuable knowledge you pick up through networking with peers. While still 14 months away, the MIA has announced that Marina26 has already sold 75% of its exhibition space. This isn’t due to some overly exuberant salesperson—it’s because the event delivers results. They bring the right audience to the exhibitors. If you are a product or service provider in this sector, you should seriously consider making Marina26 part of your marketing mix next year. This week has brought us a wide range of news from our diverse industry. Not all stories will appeal to everyone, but what we what we want to do is to present the news in such a way so you can focus on what interests you. I should also mention that there are some very interesting stories circulating in our industry, along with others that are somewhat sad and disturbing. I was taught that a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous, so we have chosen not to report on these matters unless we have concrete information. If provable details come to light, we will share them through this news service. I do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
