Saturday Edition
Good morning members, and welcome to Saturday! Woohoo! We made it through another week, so let’s give ourselves a big pat on the back. Do you have any fun plans for today? We hope you do because you’ve earned it! I (Vella) am going to a boxing session today with my partner. It's my first time, so I’m a little nervous, but I’m also excited to try something new. Although I’m not looking forward to the pain, I am looking forward to the endorphins. Hopefully, I can stick with it and make it a regular thing! Not that I want to be a boxer or anything, but it would be nice to have another hobby that gets me moving. It can be a great workout too! Has anyone else tried boxing before?
Before we get too sidetracked, let’s get into today’s newsletter, starting with the answer to yesterday’s riddle!
I have five. I remove two. I now have four. How can this be?
This is a tough one, but the answer is actually quite simple! So if you remove two letters from the word FIVE, the 'F' and the 'E', what's left is the Roman numeral 'IV' or '4'! We got you there, didn't we? We hope you enjoyed this little brain teaser. If you got it correct, you'll find a shout-out waiting for you further down in the newsletter.
Now it's time for our next segment, 'What Would the Grandkids Say?' Today we're looking at the term 'guap.' This term is slang for a lot of money or cash. Kids today use this term to show off how much money they have. For example, if your grandchild got their pay from their part-time job, they might say, 'I worked overtime this week to get this guap.' Or if they saved up their money and bought something expensive, they might say, ‘I spent all my guap on this new phone.’ Use this term around your grandkids, and let us know how they react!
So what's happening in Australia and around the world today?

Remarkable Cave in Tasmania
How stunning is this photo of a cave in Tasmania shared by member @Nanny Lin? They posted this photo in our photography forum with the caption: ‘People often think there is only a Penal Settlement to visit at Port Arthur, but nature has many wonderful sites to visit along its coastline. The views are spectacular with natural arches, blow holes and caves to explore along the way.’
We couldn’t agree more, @Nanny Lin! What a breathtaking photo! It’s amazing to see the natural wonders waiting for us to discover, even in places we may think we know well. Thank you for sharing this amazing photo with us!
