There is a lot of news about events this week.
The Perth Boat Show kicks off next week and, given its recent growth and success under the direction and guidance of Richard Campbell of CMS Events, someone I have known for a while and admired for his success in delivering quality events, we certainly think it’s worth making the trip for.
With the show imminent, next week we will also bring you a look at the W.A. marine industry through a special conversation with BIAWA President Tony Spiteri. It will be an opportunity to hear directly from someone who knows the market well and to better understand the strength of the recreational boating industry in the west.
In other event news, and not all of it boat show related, we look at the legacy of the America’s Cup, 175 years in, and learn about a new international event with Informa Prestige launching ‘The Future of Refit’ in Monaco. Whilst on the subject of Monaco, The Monaco Yacht Show has published the first official list of superyachts confirmed for its 35th edition.
Locally, we are seeing Positive Signs as Melbourne Boat Show momentum builds, and we also have a wrap-up of the 41st Hamilton Island Race Week.
And for an event completely different, the MIA has opened expressions of interest for its 2027 International Study Tour to Thailand.
Plenty happening, plenty to read, and a good reminder of just how important events remain in bringing our industry together.
