ROSES ARE RED! 🌹

Get in there!

We’ve only gone and done it again… Lancaster are the prevailing Roses’ winners – for the fourth year in a row!

There’s a whole lot of celebrating we want to do, so no more messing about. Let’s just get right into it.

🌹🌹🌹

Roses is ours once again ❤️

We have come out victorious once more at this year’s annual Roses competition, the biggest inter-varsity tournament in Europe. Held in York this time, we go head-to-head with our rival floral uni each year to see what colour roses really are.

And this year? We proved they are always RED!

This is our fourth consecutive Roses win, a never seen before success that marks a huge moment in the tournament's history.

A huge congratulations to everybody involved. From the athletes who put in the work and made it count, to the spectators who kept us going throughout the weekend.

To the student media who kept us up to date, thank you too! This weekend could not have been what it was without your tireless work - commentating, recording, writing, and entertaining every day.

Check out our Instagram post here for all of our celebrations – and keep an eye out for more to come. 👀

Give us a cheer!

Supper Club Update

Following the success of the previous years of Supper Club, offering students free meals on a Thursday night, we are sad to announce that Supper Club will not be returning for Summer Term.

The initiative has been run for the past three years to help students struggling with the Cost of Living to ensure they are provided with at least one hot meal a week - delivered in partnership with Lancaster University.

Decolonisation & Decarbonisation 🌱

Have you ever considered how decolonisation and decarbonisation are interlinked in our own city?

LUSU Green decided to find out more by collaborating with Decolonising Lancaster University on the Global Walk. Dr Sunita Abraham and Dr Chris Donaldson highlighted Lancaster’s historic connections to global stories and events by providing new perspectives and insights into local Lancastrian landmarks.

You can read more about the collaboration and the interlinked relationship between Lancaster’s colonial history and environmental justice.
