NEWS UPDATE07 November 2025 Publishers noteFor those in and around Darling Harbour in Sydney, you will have noticed preparations for next week’s Sydney On-Water Boat Show well underway. News from the organiser promises that “Sydney’s Darling Harbour will come alive with a showcase of the latest in boating as the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show returns with a line-up of new vessel launches, product debuts, and marine industry showcases.” MBN wishes all those participating, either on the water or at one of the surrounding dry exhibit areas, our very best wishes for a smooth bump-in and successful event. On the subject of boat shows, BIAV has announced another regional event. This event, planned for the Gippsland Lakes area, will take place starting late February. It’s an area I have never visited, but if the images are anything to go by, one would suggest it has a healthy boating community, and the event looks set to be a great success. Those of you that have read my ‘Publisher’s Note’ in the past will know that I am a fan of what both the MIA and AIMEX/Superyacht Australia do with their conferences. Traditionally run alongside the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show, for 2026 the Australian Superyacht Conference will debut in a new Sydney location with a refreshed format and industry focus. I know the work that the Superyacht crew do to put this event together, and I have no doubt their vision and plans will only elevate what is already a must-do event. We do hope you enjoy this week’s news. Marine Business News is an Australian-owned marine industry news service publishing local and international news.
