DPHHS is encouraging providers to submit public comment to: Bailey Yuhas, Department of Public Health and Human Services, Office of Legal Affairs, P.O. Box 4210, Helena, Montana, 59604-4210; fax (406) 444-9744; or e-mail hhsadminrules@mt.gov

All written comments must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2023.

Join the Nov. 13 hearing via zoom.

(meeting ID: 857 9222 7402, and password: 151321; or join by phone: +1 646 558 8656)

The department issued a legislative update to providers last month, that letter can be found here: https://bit.ly/depths-legupdate

Contact Congress!

Congress agreed to temporarily keep the government open at current funding levels until Nov. 17 – now is the time to urge our Montana congressional delegation to prioritize Montana’s youngest children and oppose budget cuts to programs our kids need.

Most of the funding that comes to Montana for essential child care,

early education and health services is funded through the federal government – cutting this funding will severely impact the programs Montana children and families depend on.

Montana needs long-term comprehensive solutions at the federal level to allow for safe, nurturing, and affordable options for every family. It’s easy and quick to send your congressmen a message at bit.ly/MTworkingfamilies .
