Welcome to InFocus, June 23Continuing to build on our successes, these past three months have seen rapid progress on our property technology projects including GovPass and occupancy monitoring, as well as on our Workplace Services Transformation Programme. Our Manchester Hub continues to gain attention with three industry awards, and our collaboration with the Home Office is supporting its migration to the new temporary location in Stoke-on-Trent. And we are excited to be implementing a new client relationship management tool into our business to further enhance our client-centric approach.

Workplace Services Transformation Programme continues at paceOur Workplace Services Transformation Programme (WSTP) continues at pace with transforming workplace services, securing new security contracts, and launching the new service desk at three locations.
GovPass exceeds 52,000 passes and continues to growAs part of our interoperability and property technology work, we are working with delivery partners to move ahead with rolling out GovPass, the new access control system across the Government's office estate.
Occupancy data gathering continuesThe recently announced CSOB mandate covering the use of common property technology is quickly building momentum. Following positive engagement with many government departments, we are collaborating to identify monitoring solutions and agree on the most effective ways to share and report on data. The GPA moves forward to complete new hub in CroydonOur Government Hub in Croydon, Ruskin Square has reached a momentous milestone! On Tuesday 30 May the hub officially reached Practical Completion. We will now take on the lease and work to fit out and complete the building to the Government Workplace Design Standards. Manchester First Street hub wins three awards!Our Manchester First Street hub wins three industry awards in CoStar’s Impact Awards and Insider Media’s North West Property Awards. Our Manchester Hub gets its first concrete pourOur new build Hub at First Street in Manchester progresses following the first concrete pour that has formed the core base of the build.
Stoke-on-Trent temporary solution at 2 SmithfieldWe are currently collaborating with the Home Office to support them with their migration of staff into temporary accommodation in advance of the planned development of a new hub in Stoke-On-Trent.
Case study: Regenerating PeterboroughQuay House in Peterborough is the our first new build Hub within the Government Hubs Programme. It sits at the gateway to Fletton Quays and is a crucial part of the £120 millionregeneration project for Peterborough.
Rapid delivery to support public inquiriesWe have seen great successes in supporting public inquiries. Bringing our experience of sourcing, securing and adaptation of workspaces to secure industry leading deals and provide fit for purpose space for public inquiries.

The GPA further strengthens its senior leadership teamWe welcome three new Chief Officers into the GPA: Nick Brown, Chief Financial Officer; Mandev Dass, Chief Digital Officer; and Kean Jones, Chief Technology Officer.
UKREiiF 2023 - It was great to see you there!We met with over 300 people during the three days at UKREiiF in Leeds. And were proud to sit on 11 panels across the various stages, sitting shoulder to shoulder with many key property industry leaders. From regeneration, Net Zero and Government Hubs, to strategic partnerships, industry technology and workplace experiences - we discussed it all amongst other property experts. Our success at UKREiiF - the UK’s leading property industry event - has highlighted how far the GPA has come since our inception, to being recognised as the leading property delivery body for the Government’s office estate. |
