The carefully constructed works of Cojocaru incorporate stylistic elements of the early 20th century, reminiscent of one of Europe’s foremost Avant-Garde pioneers, Hungarian Bauhaus teacher László Moholy-Nagy. ![]() RANDOM S01 E02, 2022 ![]() Untitled (FLAM), 2019 Andrei Cojocaru is a Romanian artist living and working in Paris, France. After studying Law at the Sorbonne University and working for several years in international advertising as an account manager, he became a freelance illustrator and full-time artist specialized in collage. A self-taught creative, Andrei creates his images from diverse sources by mixing elements that didn’t necessarily belong together in the first place. With a keen interest in history and feeling nostalgic about a past he didn’t know, he enjoys working with old papers and black-and-white photos to which he gives a new life through modern graphic constructions.
