Dear Colleagues and Friends,

A new year has begun bringing new challenges, but certainly also new opportunities. Let's make the best of it. For me personally, after more than eight years of service to the AEC, it is time to say goodbye. I think that we have achieved a lot together over these years, and I see the future of AEC in good hands with Finn Schumacker.

Let me take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to my colleagues in the AEC Office team, to the many friends and partners with whom we have regular constructive cooperation, and last but not least to the many committed members of the AEC.

The AEC is what its members make of it.

Stefan Gies, AEC Chief Executive
