NEWS UPDATE24 May 2024 Publishers noteAt time of writing, day one of the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show had wrapped up with an equal number of exhibitors leaving, as there were those that were settling in to one of the numerous social functions spread throughout the precinct. It has been a busy week with the ASMEX 2024 Conference earlier in the week, and the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show officially opening today with the usual level of celebration that the Mulpha crew do so well. A change in layout due to construction on-site didn’t seem to faze either the exhibitors or volumes of attendees on day one. I am the first to say that it’s hard to judge the size of a boat show crowd, but I’m fairly confident that this year’s SCIBS day 1 may have surpassed the visitors from last year. It looked like a healthy mixed crowd of enthusiasts with the curious. As is customary, the show was complemented with many new product launches. According to Johan, 102 Global & Australian products will have their debut during the four-day event. The news will continue for weeks to come, not only from the show and its results, but also from the wonderful people Marine Business News had the opportunity to meet. We hope to be speaking to them further in the weeks and months to come, and sharing their stories. When the show is over, many of the industry will be heading north to Brisbane for Marinas24. I hope to see you there. Marine Business News is an Australian-owned marine industry news service publishing local and international news.
