FIREFIGHTERS TRAIN FOR ICE WATER EMERGENCIES

The Fire Department conducted Surface Ice Water Rescue training this week to stay prepared for winter emergencies. These specialized drills help firefighters practice critical skills and teamwork needed in dangerous cold-water situations. As crews train, residents are reminded that no ice is ever completely safe and conditions can change quickly. Stay off frozen ponds and lakes, keep children and pets away from icy areas, and call 911 in an emergency. Thank you to our firefighters for their ongoing training and dedication to community safety.
