Do you remember when you used to have to wind your own cotton onto a wooden cotton reel? It was such a satisfying feeling, wasn’t it? Our Nanas would nail four tacks into the top of the wooden spool and begin knitting for us. This photo brings back so many happy memories. They remind us of a simpler time when we didn’t have all the technology we have now!

A child goes to his father and asks, “Father, how do parents think of names for their children?”
The father answers, “Well, son, the night before the mother gives birth, the father goes into the woods and camps for the night. When he wakes the following morning, the first thing he sees is what he names his child, which is why your sister is named Soaring Eagle. Why do you ask, Bear Poop?”
Hahaha, this one had us in stitches! A big thank you to member @Benw for sharing this one.

Denim is a strong cotton fabric made using a twill weave, which creates a subtle diagonal ribbing pattern. The cotton twill fabric is warp-facing, meaning that the weft threads go under two or more warp threads, and the warp yarns are more prominent on the right side. The diagonal ribbing makes denim fabric different from canvas or cotton duck, a sturdy woven cotton fabric.
