Sweetwater Chapel Set to Close
The Sweetwater Chapel will close permanently on April 4. In preparation for this closure, there will be a decommissioning service that day, which you can read more about here.
March I CARE in Action
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, which seeks to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in all aspects of community life. We encourage you to read more about agencies you can support to empower this community.
March of Dimes Fundraiser

Above and Beyond Award
Maria Garcia Soto won the Above and Beyond Award from the Employee Morale Committee for March. She was an integral part of making sure groups of employees were compliant with their COVID-19 boosters. COVID-19 Cases in the Hospital
Last week, from March 14 to March 20, Houston Methodist Sugar Land saw 97 COVID-19 patients, one of which was in the ICU.

From a Main 6 West patient: "All was very good. It was very nice to have a spiritual person check on me. It shows care & concern. Thank you."
From a Brazos 5 patient: "The care I received was excellent. All the staff was most courteous and cooperative. Thanks. God bless them all. Amen."
From a Main SICU patient: "I just stayed one night. Nurses Kelly and Jasmine were very nice, caring, and listened. It was good experience."
IMPORTANT DATES
Monday March 21: Certified Nurses Day. A celebration was held this morning and another one will be held in the Main BC Conference rooms at 2:30 this afternoon. Thank you for all you do!
Friday March 25: Caring for the Transgender Patient. This virtual education session will provide an introduction to the transgender community, and how to provide sensitive care that improves the patient-provider relationship and decrease health care disparities.
