NEWS UPDATE8 March 2024 Publishers noteI was going to say that the trilogy of marine events, ASMEX, SCIBS and Marinas24 is less than two months away. But on reflection, there is way more than a trilogy of events, with the marine industry using this time of year to really put their best foot forward for their respective audiences. Be it a B2B or a B2C event, the volume of activities in the back end of May really does see our industry come together in so many ways. This is the beauty of Boat Shows. Kindred events can align themselves to the show to maximise the visitation opportunity. There is no question that boat shows still are a draw card for our industry to deliver conferences, product releases, client hosting at events and a myriad of other activity that ultimately drives business prosperity. Success at boat shows, be it at the event itself, or an aligned event such as ASMEX or Marina24 comes with excellent planning. We are seeing this with the conferences making announcements to further entice us, their target audience. As boat show exhibitors, a similar forward thinking, detailed plan helps considerably to achieve your business objectives. By and large, having been involved with so many events, I know that many many exhibitors work hard in advance of the show, do it right, and reap the rewards. Others, not so much. At times, it is a simple case of not knowing what and how to put their best foot forward. Remember, there is no shame in asking for help if you think you want to take your boat show result to the next level. Seek guidance from your OEMs, and if you don’t have that benefit, or if you are still not sure, reach out to one of the professional organisations that can help. If you don't know who to talk to, drop me an email, and I’ll put you in contact with someone that may be able to help.
