The DALI Alliance has created a number of DiiA Specifications that add further standardized features to the DALI lighting-control protocol. These specifications will be transferred to IEC to expand the multi-Part IEC 62386 standard. The DALI Alliance develops and maintains various certification programs (DALI-2, D4i and the forthcoming DALI+ certification) that are built on the requirements of IEC 62386 and the relevant DiiA Specifications. DIFI Consortium Elects Leaders of Working Groups to Drive Evolution of its Digital Interoperability Specification and CertificationPISCATAWAY, NJ: May 1, 2023: The Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability (DIFI) Consortium announced today the result of leadership elections for working groups that are driving the evolution of its digital Intermediate Frequency (IF)/Radio Frequency (RF) interoperability specification and certification. Their work will accelerate the digital transformation of satellite communications, making it more flexible, responsive and capable of end-to-end automation. MIPI Releases 13 Specifications Thus far in 2023, the MIPI Board of Directors has approved the adoption of 13 specifications, with various updates, including new key features, support for related specifications, editorial and technical clarifications, and the replacement of deprecated technical terms with more inclusive terminology. MIPI Alliance members have access to all specifications, and nonmember developers and implementers can download public editions of MIPI CCS and the MIPI debug and software specifications. MIPI A-PHY v1.0 was adopted by IEEE-SA and is also available as IEEE 2977-2021. MIPI To Meet in San Jose for Working Group Sessions, Plugfest MIPI Alliance Member Meeting North America #63 will be held on 26-30 June in San Jose, offering Board and Contributor-level members the opportunity to connect with colleagues and advance MIPI specifications. In conjunction with the meeting, the I3C and Debug working groups will host a joint plugfest to offer implementers of MIPI I3C®/I3C Basic℠ and MIPI Debug for I3C℠ the opportunity for confidential interoperability testing. The plugfest fee is $100 USD for MIPI members, $500 USD for nonmembers. New MIPI A-PHY and Camera Resources Available The MIPI A-PHY and Camera working groups have published new technical resources to aid implementation of their respective specifications: The first quarter of 2023 brought new additions throughout the MIPI Alliance membership. Google LLC became the Alliance’s newest Promoter member, while 14 Adopter members and four new Contributors were added to the membership roster from 1 January to 31 March. Read More. Zhaga Announces Winners of Inaugural Smart City Sensor Awards Piscataway, NJ, USA (18 April 2023) – Zhaga, the global lighting industry consortium with the mission of standardizing the interfaces of components of LED luminaires, announced the winners of its inaugural Smart City Sensor Awards on 13 April. Launched in September 2022, the awards aim to encourage and recognize excellence in smart city sensors. The global contest was open to any smart city sensors that can be installed on streetlights using the Zhaga Book 18 standard and that are suitable for ZhagaD4i certification. Read more.
