Click here April - July 2025 SARInet plusNewsletterMore than 90 public health professionals from across the Americas gathered in Bogotá for the 2025 Regional Epidemiology Meeting of SARInet plus and REVELAC-i, with the objective of strengthening surveillance, prevention, and control of respiratory viruses in the region. The event also addressed pandemic preparedness through the PRET initiative and highlighted country experiences, data, and strategies to guide evidence-based public health action. We thank all participants, panelists, and those who joined virtually for their valuable contributions to the success of the meeting. HighlightsThe Regional Coordination Meeting of the Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework (PIP), organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), was held in Antigua Guatemala on June 19-20, 2025, with the objective of strengthening regional preparedness, response and coordination for future influenza pandemics. The activity brought together technical teams from Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti and Suriname, who reviewed the progress achieved in the 2024-2025 biennium and identified joint priorities for the next period 2026-2027, within the framework of the High Level Implementation Plan III (HLIP III). New toolsPAHO has launched a new interactive dashboard to strengthen respiratory virus surveillance in the Region. This innovative tool integrates virological data (FluNet) and epidemiological data (FluID) through the AMart regional data hub, offering a multilingual and user-friendly platform to support evidence-based decision-making and timely public health responses. 🔹 Key Features:
