NEWS UPDATE22 September 2023 Publishers noteParaphrasing the BOM website, they say “El Niño and positive Indian Ocean Dipole underway. The declaration of these events, and their concurrence over spring, reinforces the Bureau's long-range rainfall and temperature forecasts, which continue to predict warmer and drier conditions for much of Australia over the next three months. The confirmation of an established El Niño increases the likelihood that the event will be sustained through the summer period.” What does this mean for our industry? It means that the demand for boating activities is expected to remain high, and those who have been contemplating investing in their own boats for the upcoming summer may be more inclined to do so. This situation presents an opportunity for various sectors within our industry to experience increased business activity. While many industries are preparing for a slower summer season, we are on the opposite end of the spectrum. We extend our best wishes to all sectors of the industry for a safe and prosperous few months ahead.
