Project Update
August 2023

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed about the Scone CBD Revitalisation Project, we would like to share an update on the works happening in and around St Aubins Square and Kelly Street. Works are progressing well and the schedule is on track. 

Traffic Changes

Kelly Street will be reduced to one southbound lane on Tuesday, 8 August, allowing contractors access to median islands (Phase A in diagram). A temporary roundabout will be installed at the Kingdon and Kelly Street intersection on Monday, 14 August (Phase B in diagram).  

There will also be a watermain cut over from the existing main to the new larger watermain on Block 1 West on the evening of Monday, 14 August.  

General Construction Update – Planned works for August 

St Aubins Town Square 

• Construction of trellis footings
• Installation of street lighting conduit
• Installation of trellis structure

Block 2 - West (Liverpool Street to St Aubins Street)

• Construction of base course infill
• Construction of landscape walls
• Commencement of works adjacent to the building line including associated change in pedestrian management

Block 1 West – (Kingdon Street to Liverpool Street)

• Continuation of storm water drainage
• Commencement of water main installation
