The updated plan means the full easing of WA’s border controls originally planned for 5 February will be delayed. Industry can keep up-to-date with the latest key information on the WA Government Facebook page and website as well as on Tourism WA’s Facebook page where it will be shared as it becomes available. I’d like to thank operators for continuing to be agile and responsive during these times. I encourage you to keep in touch with your Regional Tourism Organisation to make sure you’re up to date with industry-specific information. At Tourism WA, we remain committed to showcasing our spectacular state to interstate and international visitors. We’re working hard behind the scenes to make sure we’re primed and ready to ease into WA’s Safe Transition Plan. Last night’s announcement will also impact our upcoming industry forum, which was proposed to be held on 3 February. I will provide an update regarding this as soon as possible. I‘m keen to share more with you about our efforts to ensure WA remains a destination of choice for out-of-state visitors as soon as I can.
