Sunday Edition
Goooood Morning wonderful members! I hope you’re all doing fine and dandy this Sunday morning, and if you aren’t doing fine nor dandy, which mind you is completely normal and okay, I will have you know that you’re in luck because on Sundays I give you my favourite quote of the week and I absolutely adore this week’s one!
“Put a smile on your face for the whole human race.”
Now, I cannot remember if I stumbled upon this one in one of the many Podcasts I listen to or if I read it in one of my books like, ‘This One Wild And Precious Life’ By Sarah Wilson, but it has really stuck with me. I’ve been a bit on the crankier side this week for no good reason really, more just annoyed about little things like the non-stop rain, not being able to go outside for a walk around the block, the washing not drying and so on, so forth. But then I thought about this and realised the difference in my mood when I see someone smile at me, whether it’s as I walk past them or even while in conversation with them. I always feel better when someone smiles at me, so I’m going to make a more conscious effort to smile at more people, in hope that they feel good after seeing it too.
Oh and you know what makes this quote all the better? It’s actually a line in Nat King Cole’s song ‘Almost Like Being In Love’. You can watch this here. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on your dial.
Now what happened across Australia and around the world this week?

Who here had a sifter like this back in the day? And who here still has the exact same sifter? Things back then were certainly made to last a lot longer than anything you buy nowadays! And for those of you who can’t quite see the price tag that is still on the sifter (it’s very blurry), it cost only $2.57 back when it was bought!

For those of my Generation who do not and cannot comprehend why Facebook exists: I am trying to make friends outside of Facebook, while applying the same principles.
Therefore, every day I walk down the street and tell passers-by what I have eaten, how I feel at the moment, what I have done the night before, what I will do later and with whom.

The ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamians would mould crocodile dung into a block that was inserted into the female, acting as a birth control pessary. Crocodile faeces wasn't the only excrement used as contraception.
