FREE workshops this term at BCCEveryday Mindfulness Join us this International Women’s Day Week and discover simple, practical ways to bring calm and steadiness into your daily life. Open to all. Eat Well, Age Well Nutrition workshop In this practical workshop for older adults, Dietitian Dr Mitra Zarrati will share simple nutrition tips to support wellbeing. Participants will learn to build balanced meals with everyday foods. Getting Started with Organic Gardening Join Sustainable Gardening Australia to learn about caring for your soil, pest management, fertilisers and crops to begin with – all organically!
Step & Connect Walking GroupJoin our new walking group for a fun, relaxed way to stay active. Enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise, and great company along the way. The walk begins at the Balwyn Community Centre and will last about an 1 hour. Return to the Centre for a cup of tea/coffee and a chat following your walk. Wednesdays 9.00am - 10.30am
Tai Chi for Falls PreventionThis gentle, evidence-based program will help you improve stability, mobility & confidence, supporting long-term health and independence and reducing the risk of falls. Tuesday 12.15pm - 1.00pm from 17th February
CrafternoonCome along to our new Crafternoon!! A relaxed, social space to work on your own craft projects while meeting others who love making things too. Wednesday 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Fitness BootcampGet your heart pumping and muscles working at our new Fitness Bootcamp! This full-body workout blends cardio and strength training in one energising session, using both weights and bodyweight exercises. Thursday 7.15am - 8.00am from 19 February
