Thursday Edition
Goooood Morning folks! How are we all doing this morning? Fine and dandy we hope! And if you aren’t feeling so fine, nor dandy, then you have come to the right place! Why? Well, our goal every single day is to start our members’ day off with a nice joyful newsletter that puts a smile on all of your faces. So, if you are in need of a bit of a ‘mood lifter’ sit back, brew a cuppa (this guarantees extra joy), and get comfy because my goodness, do we have some smile-inducing content in store for you today!
First things first, we have the answer to yesterday’s riddle! The riddle was:
What comes once in a minute, twice in a moment, but never in a thousand years?
The answer? The letter M! Oooooh this was a good one, wasn’t it? So many of you got this one correct! In fact, we think you’ve all broken our riddle masters record (or at least very close to it!) So congratulations to each and every one of you. As always, you can expect a shoutout on us at the end of this newsletter 😉
Next up, we have our fascinating fact of the week. Did you know that The Netherlands is so safe that it imports criminals to fill its jails? Yes, you read that correctly. The Netherlands IMPORTS criminals. According to the statistics, The Netherlands has enjoyed a steady drop in crime since 2004, and has become so safe that it's closed down one jail after another. In fact, 23 prisons have shut their doors since 2014. To help mitigate the job losses that this has created, the country has taken to importing prisoners from other countries, bringing 242 inmates from Norway in 2015! Isn’t that a fascinating fact?
