NEWS UPDATE16 May 2025 Publishers noteIt’s been a big week—evidenced by the fact that we delivered more than 40 stories. Admittedly, several of those were part of our MIA Awards ‘Celebrating Success’ series (which we’ve grouped together below), but it’s still been a packed week of news during what is clearly a busy period across the industry. Across the ditch, the historic Hutchwilco Boat Show opened to great fanfare and celebration, with a flurry of new product releases highlighting its continued importance to the region. Next week, attention turns to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS), which is shaping up to be a major event. With a strong lineup of exhibitors, exciting product launches, and large visitor numbers anticipated, it’s definitely one to watch. Before that, however, we have the ASMEX Conference kicking off Monday at The Langham. If you haven’t already registered, it might not be too late—and if you’ve seen the program, you’ll understand why it’s a must-attend. Best wishes to everyone preparing for ASMEX, SCIBS, and those delivering the Hutchwilco Boat Show. Your efforts are not only commendable but also strengthen our entire industry and pave the way for continued growth and prosperity. I can be a bit timid, so if I don’t stop to say hello next week, please don’t hesitate to pull me aside for a chat. There’s a lot to explore in this edition of eNews, so grab a coffee or tea—and happy scrolling. I do hope you enjoy this week’s news.
