MUST READ: Legislation Would Allow Use of Hair Samples for Trucker Drug Testing
A bill recently introduced in the House would allow the use of hair samples as an alternative drug-testing method for commercial truck drivers.
In 2023, overdose deaths in the workplace totaled 512, which was 9.7% of all workplace deaths that year, and unintentional overdose deaths in the workplace involving drugs or alcohol have increased more than 600% since 2011.
