As a result we have been invited to take a 12-month residency at Taiwan Tech Arena South incubator, giving us access to a range of benefits, including free design tools and a multi-project wafer run.As well as taking part in Semicon Taiwan, we visited the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Hsinchu City, Taiwan Tech Arena and the microelectronics research facility at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.Flash Memory Summit Best in Show AwardOur 13-month Innovate UK Smart Grant project resulted in a working module for our novel computer architecture, which demonstrated 128x acceleration in a computer vision AI application along with substantially improved energy efficiency. When we presented these results at the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara in August – the world’s largest computer memory event – we were honoured to receive the Most Innovative Memory Technology award in the Memory Accelerator Architecture category.“Data transfer between core and memory has become the limiting factor in computational speed. AI and Big Data applications need to deal with large data sets, which only intensifies the need for a next generation architecture,” said Jay Kramer, Chairman of the Awards Program and President of Network Storage Advisors Inc. “We are proud to recognize Blueshift Memory for the innovation of Cambridge Architecture.” Blueshift Memory at the Elektra AwardsAt the recent Electronics Weekly Elektra Awards in London, our Senior Embedded Design Engineer Sarmad Adeel was presented with a Bright Sparks Award. The awards highlight some of the the brightest and most talented young engineers working in the UK. Blueshift Memory was also a Finalist in the 'Design Team of the Year' category at the Elektra Awards. Blueshift Memory in Startups magazineOur Founder and CTO Peter Marosan describes how he first developed the concept for Blueshift Memory's Cambridge ArchitectureTM in this article in Startup Magazine Survival Guide. Cambridge Independent Science & Technology AwardsIn May 2023, Blueshift Memory was Highly Commended in the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards, held at Anglia Ruskin University.
