Welcome to InFocus, June 22We exist to create great places to work for the UK’s civil servants. My ambition for our client teams is to achieve ‘trusted status’ with our clients. While we acknowledge we have a way to go in some areas, our client satisfaction scores show a successful 40 percent improvement in just one year. There are many key improvements and priority activities we have done, and are doing, to ensure satisfaction in our service continues to increase - all of which you will find, and more, in this latest newsletter.

Looking beyond carbon emissions: Net Zero ProgrammeOur Net Zero Programme was established in 2020 to lead the drive to achieve carbon reductions across the Government's office portfolio. By looking beyond carbon emissions, it’s clear there are many opportunities for the property industry to take great strides in achieving a carbon neutral society. The Government Workplace Design Guide is updated to reflect new ways of workingThe Government Workplace Design Guide helps civil servants and others who use the Government estate to understand how to get the best from using different workplace settings. We've updated the Design Guide to reflect workplace evolution, creating more flexibility and supporting modern ways of working.
New strategic partnership for property and property-related financial servicesWe're pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with BNP Paribas Real Estate for national property and property-related financial services. Our new partnership has a key focus on social value including tackling economic inequality, fighting climate change and improving health and wellbeing. OneEstate is enabling flexible working across Government locations and workspacesWe continue to progress with the development and roll out of the OneEstate interoperability products intended to make it easier for civil servants to work flexibly across different locations: shared network; GovWifi; GovPrint; GovPass; Occupancy monitoring; AV and procurement.
GPA's Capital Programme progress continuesOur Hubs Programme continues its momentum across the UK in delivering the property elements of the Government’s Levelling Up agenda and Civil Service Reform. Our Croydon Hub reached a key milestone in May when the highest beam was secured into place. And progress continues in great strides at Darlington with the HM Treasury's temporary accommodation.
CASE STUDY: Feethams House IT solution fully operational in just seven monthsThe rapid response from our DDaT team designed and delivered a full IT network with all equipment in place ready to deploy in just seven months, to be operationally ready for the first clients in early June 2022. 40% improvement in client satisfaction: collaboration and responsivenessWe are pleased to see a marked improvement in our 2021/2022 client satisfaction scores across nearly all of our clients, with a 40% increase during the year. Client invoicing improves by more than 60%As we continue to invest in fixing our client billing, we are seeing great improvements in accuracy, collections and forecasting. We also continue to strengthen our team through specialist recruitment.
Defining our service commitments to clientsWe are increasing our focus on the quality of our service provision and the benefits that we bring to our clients.
