Teacher Spotlight: We’re Thankful for All of You!

Educators don’t hear that enough, huh? Well, it’s true! We are honored to work with people who share the vision of a better tomorrow for our students. Without you, the Career Choices series and My10yearPlan wouldn't have been able to successfully impact the lives of more than two million students over the years.

It’s because of your efforts, enthusiasm, and passion for these programs and changing lives that students across the country are consistently given the opportunity and resources to learn critical decision-making skills and plan their lives for success.

Students are finding purpose, becoming more engaged, and seeing the value in education again. This is clear when we see students within our partner schools thriving in ACT and SAT college readiness. This is evident when we notice schools within our Career Choices network are earning higher graduation rates than the state average. This is apparent when we see 175 Kern Community College District students who started with a Career Choices series course as freshmen graduating four years later with an associates degree and high school diploma simultaneously.

These are just a few examples of the extensive successes we’ve seen over the years, and those successes start with you. Enjoy your well-deserved break, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Be on the lookout for information in the coming weeks about how to apply to become a Career Choices Medal awardee. The application process is simple!

Schools that reach gold, silver, or bronze medal distinction will be recognized by Academic Innovations and will be rewarded with a press release written and shared with area media, a celebration box, trophy, and banner.
