Sunday Edition
G’Day members! You lot know how much I love my Sunday mornings. They are the highlight of my week every week so a big Happy Sunday to you all. Today, I wanted to try something a little different. Jon and I have been thinking a lot lately about new things we can introduce into the newsletters so they don’t get too ‘repetitive’, you know? We want to have you ladies and gents on your toes constantly!
So we were thinking, why don’t we try a quote? So this is what I’m going to throw at you today…
“The grass isn’t always greener. Sometimes you just have to water your own patch.”
This one hit home a little. I think I’ve learnt a lot over the past few months that sometimes, when times are a bit tough and rather than “looking over the fence” at someone else’s grass, why not water your own? It’s such a nice way to approach life. Sometimes we won’t have what others do, but we don’t really know what’s going on in their life either. Maybe we live in a small home not a mansion, maybe we don’t own, we rent, maybe we can’t afford our own car, but we can’t help but look at that friend that somehow has a Tesla AND some four wheel drive.
Rather than comparing what you have to what someone else has, why not stop and take a look at what you’ve managed to build for yourself? I don’t know about you, but my little apartment may not be a mansion, but it’s a home. I definitely do not have a snazzy car but it gets me from A to B. I have a gorgeous loving family, beautiful friends, I work in a job I love and I get to talk to people like yourself on a daily basis. Just reflecting on these little facts makes me realise just how green my little patch is, and I will continue to water it, so I hope you do too.
